SUGARBIRD ORIGINAL FYNBOS GIN

Floral | Easy | Citrus | Delicious

As the name suggests, this flavour is where our humble journey began - the botanical diversity of fynbos, which gives SA gin true expression. Apart from the lovely floral flavour you'd expect from a quality gin, there's a rare, uniquely Sugarbird citrus twang along with a hint of Cape Fynbos, for which Sugarbird is now famous.

The smoothness of this fynbos gin goes superbly with chicken dishes and/or soft white meat. Especially refreshing when served with a pizza or homemade pasta during the long summer evenings.

SUGARBIRD PINO & PELARGONIUM GIN

Floral | Rose | Lemon | Delicious

This showstopper celebrates South Africa's most famous botanicals. Pinotage, a local South African grape varietal, while fynbos, known globally as rose geranium adds a sweet, floral flavour while the other two pelargonium species add citrus notes (leaves) and medical benefits (root tuber).

The soft nature of this perfectly balanced pink gin means it pairs perfectly with seared salmon or a fresh line fish.

SUGARBIRD JUNIPER UNFILTERED GIN

Floral | Juniper | Berry | Delicious

We've taken gin back to its roots. This is Africa's first unfiltered gin and celebrates the vibrant purple of ripe female juniper cones. We've always added some signature fynbos botanicals to augment the juniper, cape chamomile and cape may, which not only adds balance but subtle complexity while enhancing the deep colour hues.

This juniper-forward gin pairs perfectly with ostrich, kudu and springbok. Also spectacular with Karoo lamb.

SUGARBIRD HONEYBUSH & MORINGA GIN

Floral | Honey | Spicy | Smooth

Sugarbird's latest addition to the signature Cape Fynbos gin range, Honeybush and moringa. An amber, floral driven gin, infused with wild cape Honeybush and Namibian moringa.

This truly South African gin steeped in two strains of fynbos tea pairs perfectly with the woody characters of a charcuterie platter. Its light sweetness means it also goes wonderfully with a pavlova dessert.

SUGARBIRD LIMITED EDITION GINS

Locally-made, proudly South African fynbos-infused mini gin offering.

SUGARBIRD CAPE HOLLY & WILD PLUM GIN

JUICY | BERRY | SWEET | TART

The Cape is famous for Fynbos, though perhaps less so for trees. However, one of the co-founders of Sugarbird, a scientist, holds a long lasting and deep passion for both Fynbos and trees and so we felt it high time we created a gin that celebrates the fruits from two of the Cape’s trees in a special Christmas edition. The combination brings you a surprising tartness that cuts through the natural warm fruity, berry sweetness, offset against the fresh piney notes of the underlying gin hero, Juniper. Serve: A lite Indian tonic, a squeeze of lime and a cinnamon bark swizzle stick.

SUGARBIRD PROTEA AND CUCUMBER GIN

PROTEA | FRESH | CUCUMBER | COOL

The genus Protea is the most well-known and charismatic of the Cape Floral Kingdom’s Fynbos biome. We've paired the traditional freshness of cucumber with the hard-fought, subtle notes from South Africa's national flower, the King Protea, (Cynaroides) to create a subtle, fresh and distinctly local gin flavour. Serve: A lite Indian tonic, Basil, Mint and a fresh Cucumber swirl
